Automation & Data Analytics Specialist (Moving & Storage)
Full-time | Remote | Hiring through Hyre for a U.S. moving and storage company
About the Client
Our client is a multi-location moving and storage company with operations in Bakersfield, Phoenix, and Santa Rosa. They handle local and interstate moves and run on daily data: sales performance, driver incentives, customer quality, safety, and payroll.
About the Role
The client relies on advanced data analytics and reporting systems to drive operational performance across all departments. You will implement and refine their existing Driver Scorecard dashboard, then build similar dashboards for every department, automating them for daily execution with clear SOPs for ongoing management.
Design scalable department scorecards, eventually phasing out spreadsheets in favor of a dedicated reporting platform. This role also prepares the incentive and bonus data that feeds payroll, so accuracy is non-negotiable.
What You'll Do
Automation and Process Improvement
Automate recurring manual work: pay period setup, multi-system data pulls, incentive calculations, and previous-day job feeds
Build live executive dashboards so managers can self-serve instead of waiting on reports
Include validation checks, a documented SOP, and a manual fallback with every automation
Support fleet data in Samsara and Motive, including preventive maintenance schedules, as needed
Build Department Scorecard Systems
Design and implement scalable department scorecard systems, evaluating transitions from spreadsheet-based models to dedicated BI platforms or custom web reporting applications as business needs expand. Structure each workbook with raw source tabs, a master consolidated tab, an editable incentive and weights matrix, calculation tabs, an executive summary dashboard, and printable individual scorecards
Combine weighted performance pillars (for example revenue, attendance, customer satisfaction, claims, safety, and conduct) into one overall score and standing such as Exemplary, Standard, Coaching, or Disciplinary Review
Write and maintain Google Apps Script that refreshes outputs, runs scheduled and on-edit triggers, and keeps calculation logic protected
Document every metric in a calculation index and column map so each formula is traceable and auditable
Build data quality checks that flag unmatched IDs, name mismatches, duplicates, and missing inputs before any score is used
Daily Scorecard Management and Report Delivery
Automate data syncs from previous-day data every morning for all three locations
Import and map data from SmartMoving, RingCentral, Qube Sheets, Asana, Motive, attendance records, Google Reviews, internal crew ratings, and damage claims into the correct source tabs
Keep employee profiles and IDs consistent across every source, and add new hires to every scorecard
Resolve data quality flags daily and document zero-activity exceptions with evidence
Submit each report to the appropriate manager on schedule: department scorecards, Driver Incentive Reports, QC reports, and the Interstate Booking Load Board
Flag data gaps and blockers early, with the owner named
Payroll and Incentive Programs
Verify qualifying jobs and apply driver credits in the scorecards and SmartMoving
Calculate tenure-based bonuses and proposed payouts from wages, tenure, and overall scores
Prepare payroll-ready incentive and bonus totals each pay period and submit them to the payroll manager for approval before cutoff
Reconcile incentive figures against job records and wage data before payout, and correct any errors
Update incentive matrix settings each evaluation period, including weights, targets, rating bands, penalties, and thresholds, in line with company policy
Quality Control and Review Checks
Audit previous-day jobs in SmartMoving and send customer QC emails
Consolidate missing estimate information and post the QC report in Asana
Complete weekly review checks across all locations, assign driver credits, and post the report
Track damage claims, incidents, and Motive safety scores for each driver
Documentation and Communication
Maintain SOPs and setup instructions for every scorecard and workflow you own
Handle ad-hoc data pulls and analysis requests from the client's leadership
Submit daily EOD and weekly EOW reports
